MRT stands for Mediator Release Test. It tests immune activation by food and food chemicals. Food sensitivities happen when your body reacts to a certain food or foods. It can take up to 72 hours for you to notice reactions to specific foods. The end result of ingesting food your body is sensitive to is the release of a chemical called a mediator from your white blood cells. Uncomfortable symptoms are a result of this mediator. The MRT analyzes 170 foods and chemicals to see how your cells react when they’re in the presence of a specific food. From these results, we co-create a bio-individual wellness plan so you can feel your best without restricting yourself unnecessarily.
